Sean Monahan grew up in suburban New Jersey, before getting his BA in Theatre from The College of William & Mary. After graduation he lived in Los Angeles for a year before moving to Chicago to study improvisation and sketch comedy. In Chicago, he trained & performed at iO (formerly ImprovOlympic), The Second City, and the Annoyance Theater.It was in classes in Chicago where he met and joined the successful touring group, Mission IMPROVable. As a current owner of M.i. Productions, Sean has helped the company grow from a rag-tag group of improvisers into a million-dollar enterprise consisting of a touring Mission IMPROVable Show, M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater (Santa Monica), and Westside Corporate Creativity. The M.i. Show has twice been named Comedy Act of the Year for the national college circuit, and was 2013's Entertainer of the Year as voted by the readers of Campus Activities Magazine.Sean teaches improv at business schools/corporations and as part of the training center at M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater. He still performs weekly at the theater, and continues to work as an actor, writer and director. Show less «
