Sean Mahon is an Irish stage and screen actor. He was raised in Dublin. He moved to the U.S in his twenties where he trained and started his career. He is known for his role as maverick cop, Brian Mc Gonigle in the TV series Red Rock (TV3 Ireland, BBC (UK) and Amazon Prime USA), for which he was nominated for a Best Lead Actor award by the Irish Film and Television Academy. Other screen work include the award winning film Philomena and the war thriller Anthropoid.His stage credits include the Tony nominated Broadway productions of The Seafarer and The 39 Steps and the U.S regional production of "Stones in his pockets", at The Mark Taper Forum.He splits his time between Dublin, New York and London.
