Sean Richard Dulake is a film and television actor, born in Los Angeles, California, to a British father and Korean mother. He was raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, where he performed in school plays.Dulake studied business management and theatre arts at Boston University, where he continued his involvement in university theatre productions. In 2007, Dulake moved to Korea without speaking a word of the Korean language. After studying at Seoul National University, Dulake made his debut on Korean television.Dulake has played a diverse array of characters in multiple film and television projects ranging from the first doctor to establish a western hospital in 1880s Korea in the period drama "Jejungwon" (2010), to a diabolical double agent in the $17 million Korean blockbuster action series "Athena: Goddess of War" (2011), to a world-renowned chef who learns about traditional Korean cuisine in the heart-felt drama "Feast of the Gods" (2012).Following his success in scripted drama, Dulake made his directorial debut with "Korea Next: Finding Hallyuwood" (2012), a documentary also hosted by Dulake that explores the Korean Wave phenomenon, garnering him a Best Director nomination at the 2013 Asian Television Awards.Returning to English speaking roles, Dulake participated in various American productions including "Morning Star" (2014), a short film executive produced by Michelle Yeoh, and "Ktown Cowboys" (2015), a film executive produced by Ken Jeong that premiered at South By Southwest.Most recently, Dulake starred in and produced "Dramaworld" (2016), an original series premiering on Viki.com spring 2016. He also co-wrote and held a prominent role in the upcoming Korean War film starring Liam Neeson entitled "Operation Chromite" (2016), the highest budgeted Korean production of 2016, distributed by CJ E&M, releasing summer 2016.Dulake continues to be a rising star in the entertainment industry, his performances having earned him a loyal following in Korea, Japan, and across Asia.
