Sean Cullen is a native of Buffalo, New York, and a graduate of Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School, St. Bonaventure University and the Yale School of Drama. As an actor, he has appeared in four Broadway productions ("Golden Boy" and Tony-winner "South Pacific" most recently, for director Bart Sher and Lincoln Center Theater); and at nearly twenty of America's leading regional theatres (Williamstown Theatre Festival and Hartford Stage, most recently). Cullen has also appeared in several feature films, including the Academy-Award-nominated "Michael Clayton"; and as a guest-star on several television series (ABC's "Body of Proof," most recently). In addition to acting, Cullen is a playwright and songwriter. His first play, "Safe Home," received critical praise and three extensions in its 2010 New York premier. The New York Times called the playwright "a master of the dialogue of the rapidly changing emotion." Cullen's first completed script, "City High: Initiation," a television pilot for a dramatic series, co-created with Charles Schultz, was a finalist at the New Harmony Project. In 2011, Cullen was the recipient of his high school's first "Timon Center for Media & the Arts Distinguished Alumnus Award." In 2007, Sean won a Portland (OR) Drammy for Best Supporting Actor for his work as Tupolski in the Portland Center Stage production of "The Pillowman," directed by Rose Riordan. Show less «
