Born in Los Angeles but moved to Northern California in the late 60s. Started playing the bass when he was eight. Joined Frank Zappa's band in 1981 and played with him until the ill-fated 1988 band. Continued to play with Frank's sons, Dweezil and Ahmet, until 1993. Also played a giant vegetable manning the electric chair (which contained Ronald Reagan) in the video for Frank's 'You Are What You Is'. Parts of this video can be seen in The Dub Room Special! (1984). Married to Georgia Morf Thunes, he as two children, Hazle Nova and Virgil Mars. Show less «
