Position: Lock Born: 20/11/1993 Physical: 1.97m, 111kg (6'6", 245lb) Test Debut: v Ireland in Chicago 5 November 2016 ATHLETIC, YOUNG lock Scott Barrett broke into the All Blacks ranks in 2016 after several impressive seasons of top-flight rugby. He joined the All Blacks as an injury replacement for the 2016 year end tour, scored on debut against Ireland in Chicago and went on to play all four matches. In 2017, Scott and brothers Beauden and Jordie were selected for the DHL New Zealand Lions Series, making history as the first trio of brothers to be named in the same All Blacks squad. The 2013 New Zealand Under 20 player was one of Canterbury's best defenders in the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup, with a tackle success rate over 90 percent. He was only 20 when he made his debut for the Crusaders, playing against England during their 2014 tour. Along with his brothers, Scott attended Francis Douglas Memorial College, the alma mater of All Blacks midfield legend Conrad Smith.
