Considered "Emerging Talent to Watch", Sara Werner has been making waves and capturing the attention of audiences through her unique methods of storytelling.Sara has been working in the creative arts since she was 4, always with the positive ulterior motive of helping others. In 2009, Sara received her B.A. in English, with concentrations in Performance in Social Activism, Theatre and Writing from Monmouth University, where she first started directing theatre in 2006 with the drama "Lot's Daughters" and later directed numerous one-act plays and assisted in the storytelling program at the Freehold Youth Detention Center in Freehold, NJ. She has studied script to stage work at the Royal Court Theatre in London, UK and has worked in New York City with NewFest film festival in 2007 as a coverage intern and in Public Relations/Communication and later with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) in Communication and Production.In 2010, Sara moved to Miami to pursue a M.F.A. in Screenwriting, realizing within the year of pursuing her dreams that she had to go further and switch to a M.F.A. in Production which she received in August 2012.Sara's first film working as both writer/director was "Aurora", so far leaving audiences sniffling and winning the laurels for "Honorable Mention" at New York Indie Film Fest, "Best Local Short" at the Miami Short Film Festival's 2012 Best of Festival; Best of Festival in Indie Film Club Miami's Celebrating Female Directors, Best Film at Canes Film Festival 2012 as well Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Producing, Best Sound Design and Best Writing.Werner now resides in Los Angeles, CA.
