Sapna Pabbi was born and brought up in London, United Kingdom. She studied Public Policy and Management and Sociology at Aston Business School and worked in private equity sales. Her parents were born in Punjab, India, and moved to London in their mid-20's. Her mom worked in a Hotel and her father was a Chef in Airline Catering. Both her parents ensured that she knew about her culture and were very strict with making sure she spoke the language fluently. Hence she knows how to read, speak and write fluent Punjabi. She took up small Asian modelling assignments in England during her university years for extra income, however, she never took the profession seriously as her father wanted her to settle into a more secure, corporate job, once she graduated. But destiny had other plans. A year after her graduation, while she was working full time in Corporate Relations at Informs Plc, she was offered the lead role in a Prime Time television show, for an Indian TV channel. After moving to Mumbai for the show, she waited around for it to begin, but the project got shelved within a month. Not one to be disheartened, she decided to stay on and joined an agency. Her first job was a Sunsilk campaign, after which, she managed to bag one of the main roles in the Indian adaptation of the popular American television series, 24. Playing Kiran Rathod, in 24, was her first acting gig. Sapna also made her B-Town debut in 2015 with a lead role in the romantic horror film, Khamoshiyaan, starring Ali Fazal and Gurmeet Choudhary.
