Rusty Mahmood is a 20-year veteran of the Television & Film industry. He was the Assistant Director for the Emmy-Award Winning comedy, The Office for 7 seasons. In 1995, Rusty was selected into the prestigious Assistant Director - Producer Training Program where he worked on such projects as ER, Coach, One Fine Day, Pleasantville, American History X and The Game. After graduating from the Training Program, Rusty was inducted into the Director's Guild of America and worked as an Assistant Director on projects such as Star Trek - Deep Space Nine, October Sky, High Crimes, Intolerable Cruelty, Lemony Snicket, The 40 Year Old Virgin and the Oscar nominated documentary, Operation Homecoming. In 2009, Rusty was selected as a Board member for the DGA - Producer Training Plan and in 2012 was voted as the board's Chairman. "As a Board, it is our goal to mold future Assistant Directors of the highest quality and professionalism by providing networking opportunities, mentoring from industry experts, and exceptional, paid, on-the-job training in feature films and television". Rusty graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis with a Business degree - emphasis in Marketing & Advertising. In 1990, Rusty won the esteemed Marconi Scholarship, which led to internships at an advertising agency, radio station, public-access TV studio and the ABC affiliate station. In between seasons on The Office, Rusty is working hard at creating his own television series aimed at young teens.
