Film credits include: "Infestation: Day One," "Hush," "Flooding," and "Family Attraction" starring Martin Sheen & Chris Penn. Television Credits include: "The Drew Carey Show," "Murphy Brown," "Sister Sister," "The Steve Harvey Show" and multiple appearances on "Days of Our Lives." He has starred on-stage at such venues as: The Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival, South Bay CLO, Saddleback CLO, The Sawmill Theatre, West Virginia Public Theatre, The Company Rep and The NoHo Arts Center.In addition to his love of work on camera, Slanina enjoys working on original musical productions. He has created roles in "The Thief," "Cotton Club," "Dorian," "Haven," and was nominated for a LA Artistic Director's Award for his performance in "Musical Chairs" in 2001. These productions have afforded him the opportunity to work closely with music greats such as Bill Goldstein, Joe Darion and two-time Academy Award winner - Joel Hirschhorn.In 2009 Slanina joined high school friend and Executive Director, Ron Carter, in opening The Strand Theater in the suburbs of their native Pittsburgh, PA. As a board member, and Artistic Director for The Strand Slanina has produced several plays and musicals. He has also written and directed 15 original revue concerts, featuring Broadway stars such as Paige Davis, Brad Little, Teri Bibb, Yvette Lawrence, Dana Meller, Leslie Alexander, Maria Eberline, Heather Lee, and Rita McKenzie. And he has enjoyed presenting: "An Evening with Debbie Reynolds," "The Phantom's Leading Ladies," John Oates' "Mississippi Mile" tour, "The Celtic Tenors," "The Three Phantom's" and "Ricky Nelson Remembered."The 2900-mile commute to Pittsburgh from his home in Los Angeles has become routine for Slanina, but very fulfilling as he continues to seek work on camera in both cities.
