Robinhood Ferdinand Padilla, known professionally as Robin Padilla, is a Filipino actor, screenwriter, producer and director best known for his '90s action films; portraying mostly antihero characters that granted him the moniker "Bad Boy" of Philippine cinemas. He is also dubbed as "The Action Prince" or "The Prince of the Philippine Action Movies."Padilla was born in Daet, Camarines Norte, to Casimero "Roy" Padilla Sr., a filmmaker, and Lolita Eva Cariño. He is also the brother of BB Gandanghari and Rommel Padilla; uncle of Bela Padilla, Daniel Padilla and Mark Anthony Fernandez; and father of Queenie and Kylie Padilla. He is the husband of Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.Padilla has already been active on the silver screen during the '80s, mostly being on films produced by RCP Productions. It was during the '90s though when he started to be prominent on show business through his films with Sharon Cuneta (Maging Sino Ka Man) and Vina Morales (Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum).During the 2000s, Padilla ventured on to the small screen and acted on TV series in ABS-CBN, then on GMA, until returning back to ABS-CBN during the 2010s.
