Robert Shropshire was born in Richmond, Virginia. In 2008, he majored in Philosophy at Virginia Commonwealth University while acting in student films and modeling. Appearing as an extra in season 2-4 of AMC's "TURN: Washington's Spies" 2014-2017 and PBS's "Mercy Street," in 2015, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to focus on figure modeling at UArts and developing a musical label 'Echo Options' founded in South Philadelphia. His mother a teacher of folk dance and his father a military doctor and physicist. They moved to Spain and England in the early 90's, eventually relocating back to the United States to focus on raising two boys without grandparents (deceased) who were once active in community musical theater and vocal music performances, as well as veterans of WWII. Settling in the DC metro area from 1996-2008, Robert developed a natural desire to take dance classes and audition for high school plays eventually joining the Thespian troope and competing with other schools theatre sports teams which lead to a life of constant improvisation.
