Robert Hazlette was born in the rural mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and from an early age found his home to be on the stage.Robert's theatrical career began early on in various school productions, most notable was "The Queen of Hearts Royal Ball" directed by Diana Boyd.Robert was also part of some groups that received Local, State, and National Recognition: The Paint Creek Dulcimer Group under the direction of Terri Wells, and The Paint Creek Cloggers under the direction of Sandra Coleman.Robert began taking Piano at the age of 8, and continued for many years. Robert was also heavily involved in Dance Classes ranging from Ballet to Clogging.At age 15, Robert began working with Jenny Wiley Theatre, a professional theatre nestled in the mountains of Eastern KY. Robert has since been seen in over 25 productions with them, some of which include: Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jesus Christ Superstar, Disney's High School Musical, All Shook Up, Joseph and the Amazing..., and the historic drama "The Legend of Jenny Wiley" written by Scott Bradley and Peyton Dixon. While at Jenny Wiley Theatre, Robert had the honor of working under CBS's "Extant" writer, Mickey Fisher in his original productions of "Frankenstein" and "Dracula in Tombstone."Robert has also been seen at many other notable theatres and venues across the US, these include The Miracle Theatre, Paramount Arts Center, Tweetsie Railroad, Dollywood, The Mountain Arts Center, The Historic SIPP Theatre, In the Pines Ampitheatre, and many others.In 2012, Robert took his ambitions to a new level, and conceived and opened a community theatre in his hometown of Paintsville, KY. The theatre, which is still going today is known as the Main Street Players and is housed in the Historic SIPP Theatre. While there, Robert Directed/Choreographed productions of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."Other notable Director/Choreography credits include: Hello Dolly (Choreographer), Willy Wonka (Choreographer), Jack and the Beanstalk (Choreographer), The Music Man (Dance Capt), Company (Dance Capt), and Robert's favorite The Kentucky State Premiere of Legally Blonde: the Musical (Director/Choreographer).Although the stage has always been Robert's first home, in 2013, Robert found a new love, the "Silver Screen". Robert made his national television debut on CBS's "Under the Dome", in which he worked in Season 1. Robert continued seeking out television roles and found himself working on ABC's "Nashville" for Season 2 in which he worked in various roles. Most recently, Robert was cast in multiple episodes on Season 5 of Oxygen Network's hit series "Snapped: Killer Couples".Robert now resides in Branson, MO, where he is a Vocalist/Dancer for Steve Kinworthy's "Lovin' Every Minute" in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
