In 1996 Robert began to freelance as Decorator, Designer, and as a Character Actor in the Corporate & Special Event markets.Working with many of Vancouver's Event and Destination Management Companies, Robert's clients have ranged from decorating Z95's Cupid's Ball at the Commodore, designing the Annual Christmas Party for Envision Credit Union at the Tradex Convention Center, to being the Site Manager for the East Fraserlands Design Charette.Robert developed the reputation for being able to work "display magic" regardless of the event's budget: From the basic to the most elaborate, from the design stage right to completion, all his work is done in a timely and professional manner.In 2003, Robert's love of Halloween was awarded "Best in BC" by CTV for a 7,000 sq.. Haunted Labyrinth he designed in collaboration with Potter's House of Horrors.Since 2007, Robert has been working in Film and Television here in Vancouver. He is a member of I.A.T.S.E local 891 and ACFC and can be hired as either an On Set Decorator or Set Dresser.Robert was the On Set Decorator for 28 episodes of YTV's hit Kid's TV Comedy show titled "Mr. Young", the On Set Decorator for season 1, 2 & 3 of the Hit YTV show "Some Assembly Required", and the On Set Decorator for CTV's "Package Deal" Season 2".As a result, Robert has gained valuable experience working with the multi-camera format and was the On Set Decorator with the most multi-camera format experience in Canada until Robert upgraded to the Assistant Decorator position.
