Robert "Robbie" Dema is a SAG actor and model from Wantagh, New York. Born in the Bronx, Robbie grew up with two passions, baseball and horse racing. As a child, he was convinced he would become a jockey and eventually led to him attending the University of Arizona to learn the business and science side to the racing industry. Whilst his time at the University of Arizona, Robbie portrayed mascot, Wilbur T. Wildcat, taking on a new challenge and form of performance where film, commercial, and photo shoots were required as well as rehearsed and improvised performances. This is where the acting bug kicked in.Since then, has starred and been featured in a variety of short, independent or student films in Tucson, Arizona, where he eventually switched his major and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and minor in Equine Racing Science.Within the few months of being a professional, Robbie has landed leading roles in a Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Applebee's commercials . Following these credits, he has been featured on hit TV shows such as, "Law and Order-SVU, The Blacklist", "Power", "Kevin Can Wait", "The Perfect Murder" and "Younger", as well as the new feature film, The Enchanted Forest. Other acting notable works includes two acceptances into the Cannes Film Festival this past summer in the roles of Wes in Uber Cop and the Rescuer in Verloren.Along with film acting, Robbie also has a career in theatre work. Previously, he played the supporting role of Cowboy in Studio Theatre's production of "The Boys in the Band" on Long Island, New York. Other roles include Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast", Zach in "A Chorus Line", and Sonny in "Grease".Robbie just recently kicked off his modeling career during New York Fashion Week walking for designers KAS and Jude Charles, as well as print ads for The Princeton Review.
