Born in Rockford, Illinois, Rob is one of eight children of Higinio and Josephine Romero. As a child growing up, he enjoyed going to the movies with his mom and envisioned one day to be on screen. He enjoyed this because he did not hang out with other kids his age because he felt like an outcast. You would never know it today but Rob lived a very shy life. It was not until he met wife Lori in 1991 that he would begin to break out of his shell. She was his driving force to tackle shyness! She convinced him while working two jobs one as a forklift driver at Ring Container and at UPS as an air package employee, to seek the position of a Supervisor. Since she knew he did such great work and that if he was promoted to a leadership position, this would be the best ammunition to break his shyness barrier. Taking her advice he applied himself and was promoted supervisor at both of his jobs. Once he began to lead employees, the wall of shyness soon fell. It was during this time in his life that he would begin acting. In 1994, his sister in law approached him about helping her on a school class project, this project was a commercial and this excited him. He would portray multiple characters' in her class project called 'Robbie's Baby Bath System' this project would earn an 'A' in the class. In 2003, while working as the Safety Supervisor, Rob wrote, directed and acted in various safety videos for the Rockford UPS Air ramp facility. Rob is the father of 5 children. The oldest one is Rob's biological child. Four children were proudly adopted from foster care system. In 2010, Rob met film maker Travis Legge via social media, Rob portrayed a zombie in the short film 'Widdershins'. Rob was called upon for his first speaking role in another Travis Legge film 'Holiday Carvings'. In this short film, he would portray the cannibal Daddy alongside actress Deneen Melody. Through the social network sites Rob as connected with many film makers and actors and continues to meet new and exciting people. Besides acting, Rob co-wrote and starred in Cofax. He is well known for casting and producing independent films as well. In 2013 Rob started R&B Innerloop productions along with Richard Bunch. They both have visions of the company taking off and being a driving force of the film making process. Their first feature film; Fraternal Nightmares is scheduled for release in 2014-2015 Rob's daughter Lexie has also followed in her dad's footsteps' and is also an aspiring actress and model.
