Riley Jackson is a California born and raised actress with both U.S. and Canadian citizenship. Both of her parents have been producing and distributing film and television her entire life, which afforded Riley the unique opportunity of traveling throughout the world, attending film and television markets, thereby learning the business side of the entertainment industry at a very young age. She began her acting career doing theater and then began booking voiceover roles. This ultimately led to being cast as a lead in the feature film Crystal Inferno opposite Claire Forlani at the age of eleven.Riley is the daughter of long time entertainment industry executives Shauna Shapiro Jackson and David A. Jackson. Both attorneys, they co-founded Curb Communications with partner Universal Pictures. They subsequently spun off into Showcase Entertainment, Showcase For Kids, and SC Global Media (The SC Group of Companies). Showcase Entertainment was ranked as one of the top three international distribution companies by one of the major international trade publications and is a long time member of the Independent Film and Television Alliance. Under the umbrella of the SC Group of Companies, they have produced, distributed and marketed over 200 feature films and television series throughout the world in all media that star Ben Affleck, Sean Penn, Hilary Swank, Tobey Maguire, John Malkovich, John Favreau, Debra Messing, Selma Blair, Christopher Walken, Colin Firth, Lorraine Bracco, and Robert Downey Jr. For Television, they Executive Produced the award winning international hit series Flight 29 Down with Discovery Kids for NBC. Among other accolades, this series launched Cartoon Network's Boomerang Channel in Latin America. They also produced the feature film You May Not Kiss The Bride starring Katharine McPhee, Rob Schneider, Mena Suvari, Dave Annable, and Kathy Bates. Further, they Executive Produced Ape Escape based on the Sony Playstation Game with Fred Seibert for NickToons. The two have also written music for several film theme and end title songs including Beautiful Stranger, which was co written with Katharine McPhee.In addition to acting, Riley dances, writes music, plays the piano, guitar and drums, and is in the gifted program at school. She has an online presence and her 'Muscal.ly' videos have been 'Featured' several times - many with over 60,000 'Likes" and one reaching over 120,000 "Likes."
