Originally from the island of Oahu in Hawaii, Rian Bishop has literally grown up all over the country and across the world. Growing up in a military family afforded him the chance to live in various regions of the country as well as adapt to the many cultures he encountered. All through his formative years he performed in local and regional theatre as well as national competition. Appearing on stage for his first performance in grade three, Rian showed his range in later years by choosing varied roles in such productions as Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, The Odd Couple, The Crucible, Grease, Dracula, and The Pirates Of PenzanceAfter graduating high school, and a brief stint in college to obtain an EMT license, Rian set his sights on playing professional ice hockey. This course led him to playing in Russia before returning back to the US to play for several semi-pro and amateur clubs. Eventually being offered a slot with a semi-pro team in Alaska after his performance in an amateur tournament in St. Petersburg, Rian's chances never came full circle as a bone fracture during training camp knocked him out of contention.A few years later, still feeling the desire to perform, Rian began making trips to Los Angeles from Alaska to test the waters of the acting world. Soon after, with the encouragement of a few local actors, Rian made the move to Hollywood and was cast not more than three weeks later in director Paul Sampson's "Night of the Templar". He also completed a role in the much anticipated short "Prelude II Hope".Not only an accomplished actor and musician, Rian has also turned to writing, and has several projects listed as in development. He continues to work and live in the Los Angeles area. Show less «
