Regina Oliver was born on September 17, 1989 in San Jose, Ca to Marie Thomas and Carl Oliver. Her father is Jewish and African American and her mother is African American, Hispanic, and Irish. She was raised all through out the East Bay Area. When she was 5 years old, she discovered a keen interest in performance dance and began auditioning for networks like Disney and local productions. At age 17, Regina began her training at San Francisco Digital School for filmmaking and at 19 began training with Matthew Shelton at the Shelton theater in San Francisco. Regina's interest, and dedication in theater granted her a standing ovation at the theater where she was awarded the title of Best Actress. Shortly after Regina was a lead in short that was one of the official Langston Hughes selections for the African American Film festival in 2014 titled 'Pain of Love' a silent film about the tragedy of love.She began performing with the Soulciety theater group which put on plays geared to provide positive messages for teens with themes dealing with issues such as substance abuse, poverty, abandonment, and gang violence. These performances not only gave her valuable experience but also a source of great pride knowing that she was making a difference in the lives of young people like herself. While performing with the Soulciety group and and also Cafe de la Culture a non profit theater Regina was recruited for a talent agency, with her drive and acting experience it greatly helped her land her first on screen Co star role on 13 Reasons Why season 2 and numerous commercial roles such as Honda and Industrial leading roles. Since her professional career began several years ago, Regina's talent and determination has allowed her to be involved in Network Blockbuster shows, cultural inspired productions and act with major actors, actresses and industry insiders.Regina has not only held her own in the theatrical, film, and television Industry. According to many of her co-stars, producers and directors, there's no limit for this young star who has incredible range, intense concentration, and a passion to be involved with projects that challenge her professionally with wide-ranging subject matters and characters.
