Rebecca Hurd was born in Warwick, Rhode Island to Nancy (Henderson), a former airline employee, and Christopher Hurd, President of a car dealership. Hurd wanted to be an actress from a young age, enrolling in many theatre camps and acting lessons early in life. She attended Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, but would perform theater at a private Catholic high school down the street.Hurd studied at Elon University in North Carolina, where she received her BFA in Acting in addition to a BA in Cinema & Television Arts. Shortly after graduating, Rebecca moved to Chicago to pursue goals in acting and comedy. Within 6 months, Rebecca had booked her first TV credit as Teresa Azen on an episode of Chicago Med. Rebecca Hurd performs improv and stand up comedy, and in college was an opening act for Colin Jost of SNL fame. Hurd has performed around Chicago with her improv team, Mind Cookies, and has a romantic comedy podcast with her best friend, Bree, called You Had Me At LMFAO.
