Like many Californians, Rebecca is a transplant. Having grown up on the east coast, she moved to Denver shortly after marrying in 1975. She and her family moved to Los Angeles in 1997 when her younger daughter Katie took an interest in acting. Katie later graduated from USC's school of theatre and is now an actress, living with her husband Jake in the LA area. Rebecca's older daughter Liza is an attorney, living in the Detroit area with her husband Greg and their two young sons. Rebecca now lives with her very supportive husband Bob, a securities trader, in the San Fernando Valley.Rebecca's acting career began with small films, commercials and theatre. She garnered her first acting award on the stage playing the crazy Mrs. Winemiller in Tennessee Williams' "Eccentricities of a Nightingale." She enjoyed a stint with the "Open At The Top" theatre company at the NoHo Arts Center, playing the roles of Mary in Jerusalem and Lady Henslowe in the acclaimed Elizabeth Rex. It was also during that time that she took an interest in writing, with the "Open At The Top" company performing one of her comedic scripts. Rebecca and her daughter Katie are now in collaboration on a half hour single camera comedy script for television that has garnered recent interest from a top TV producer. Rebecca has three other scripts in early development stagesRebecca's performances on the small screen have included guest starring prime-time roles on "ER" and "Gilmore Girls," and "The Young and the Restless" on daytime TV. Perhaps her favorite film role came in the short subject film "The Manual," which won the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival and was a favorite at the Liberty Film Festival in Los Angeles. "Once in A Lifetime" with Ed Asner is set to lens and Rebecca just wrapped a feature in December 2007, "The Invincible Scripture" with George Cheung and Michael Shannon. In February 2008, she wrapped a short about Alzeheimer's, "The Sundowners" with Numb3rs star David Krumholtz. She has a film "Illuminations" set to lens for July 08 and just completed a Volkswagen commercial with Giselle and Sly Stallone.Spending time with family, interior design (she holds a degree in design and space planning), travel, oil painting, gourmet cooking, gardening and entertaining friends are just a few of her pastimes. She loves old black and white movies, as well as music from the 60s and 70s. When she is not studying and pursuing her acting craft, she may frequently be found in the kitchen with her husband, cooking and rocking to the oldies.
