Raymond Leo Normandin Jr. is an American film, television and radio producer and writer. He began his career as an on set intern in 1995. His first paid job was a dual role on the same film, Heartwood (1998), where he was a camera P.A. and transportation department driver. He became a film and television extra to be on as many sets as possible. While working on End of Days (1999) as an extra he was able to have a conversation with Arnold Schwarzenegger during an early a.m. set break. After realizing they had a mutual friend and Ray had an interest in stunts, which he did in previous films including Sworn to Justice (1996), he was offered a small stunt player role on his last few days of the film. Ray would go on to get small roles in several television shows including The Magnificent Seven (1998), NYPD Blue (1999), Chicago Hope (1999) and several others. On the set of a new television series Ryan Caulfield: Year One (1999) Ray had a small background part as a desk detective. He was noticed by casting and was approached with a permanent background role which may have led to a speaking part, had the show made it past the first few episodes.After taking a ten year hiatus from film and television to pursue radio broadcasting, writing and producing, Ray regained his film career with the film Maggie's Passage (2009), which he co-wrote with the film's director Mike Norris.Since then Ray went on to have a successful nationally syndicated radio program called 'What's Your Story?' which he produced and co-hosted with his longtime friend Ken Kellogg. He continues to write, and produce many film and television projects.In 2015, Ray teamed up with actor, producer and reality show star Slade Smiley (The Real Housewives of Orange County). Together they are in early stages of development of several television and film projects. They have been offered first look deals as well as representation of their projects through one of the industry's top 5 agencies.He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Patricia Joyce Bousquette, who was a house wife and Raymond Leo Normandin Sr. who was a painter after he was discharged from the United States Army. His mother was of Native American Shawnee Indian descent and his father had Irish and French-Canadian ancestry. Ray grew up mainly in the New England area until he was 11, when he and his family relocated to Hollywood Florida. At 13, his family moved again to Colorado Springs where he lived until age 16, when he moved to Orange County, California in 1977.In 1978, Ray joined the United States Air Force as a Security Police Officer and became part of the Alarm Response Team (ART) with the 321st Missile Security Squadron stationed out of Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota. He is married and has a total of 5 children, 2 step-children and 3 grandchildren. Ray's hobbies include martial arts, in which he holds a black belt, singing, writing and handyman stuff around the house. Show less «
