Actor Raúl Alberto emerged on the acting map and became a household name in the telenovela world of the 90's.Born in Mexico City, he was fortunate to be trained and work as an in-house child actor at Televisa, the largest Film & TV studio in Mexico, known as a factory of generations of traditionally-trained, well-rounded actors and singers. At the mega studio, throughout his adolescence, Raúl co-starred in various telenovelas in which his sensitivity and charisma flourished, working alongside Latin stars like Kate del Castillo or Chayanne, among others, in TV hits like "Muchachitas" (one could say, the Mexican equivalent of Beverly Hills 90210), "Mágica Juventud," "Volver a Empezar"... while appearing in a string of TV commercials for major brands. With the telenovelas airing in the US (on Univision), and in many countries around the world, by the time he was 18, Raúl already knew what it was to receive fan mail from places as distant as Russia.Having worked with some of the most acclaimed producers in Latin America, such as Emilio Larrosa, eventually, Raúl developed an interest in the craft and business of working behind the cameras. With the turn of the millennium, Raúl invested in TV equipment and packed for the US, where he entered as an extraordinary abilities alien. As a media entrepreneur, he put on the publisher's hat and launched a sports magazine (sports being another one of his passions). As a producer, he produced live and taped TV programming, from bloodless bullfighting to soccer (of course), for traditional and online pay-per-view distribution. As a singer, he worked with multi Latin Grammy-winning producer, Rafa Sardina, in the release of his very own album. Other top talent from the music world that he has work with include producer Joe Chiccarelli and saxophonist Donny McCaslin. But after some of these adventures, the desire to act came back, inspired by the success of some of the Latin talent he grew up with. And so, Raúl jump-started his acting career working in as many U.S. projects and production sets as he could. Now neck-deep into his crossover journey in Hollywood, inspired by legendary actors like Ricardo Montalbán and Anthony Quinn, and with no intention to look back, Raúl dreams of giving life to the passionate characters in the scripts he is invited to read.Raul is proud to work with acting coaches like Clay Banks, Adriana Barraza and Luisa Huertas.
