Born in Washington D.C., Raquel is the daughter of American soldier and war veteran, Frederick and United Kingdom native, Elizabeth Ann. Although born in the United States, she holds dual citizenship in America and England. While growing up an Army brat, Raquel and her family (consisting of a total of seven siblings) moved from station to station around the United States and around the world.Having the chance to live in other countries, Raquel is versed in other languages and speaks Spanish and Italian. While still in high school, Raquel became a model with Marquee Talent© modeling agency in Dallas, Texas and has appeared in many fashion ads and runway shows in Dallas and New York City.Raquel is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Theatre Arts and has earned many theatrical awards such as "Best Lead Actress" and "Best Actress in a Student Directed Play at Fort Worth's Tarrant County Northeast Playhouse and "Best Female Television Performance" at the MAAI Convention in New York.
