Born to an American Father and an Egyptian Mother in Cairo, Egypt, Ramsi Lehner has spent his life between the U.S. and Egypt where he graduated from the American University in Cairo's Theater program (Focus in directing). After graduation, he joined The Temple Independent Theater Company's production "Mother I Want to be A Millionaire" and began his career as a professional theater actor. He appeared in productions such as:Before the RevolutionThe Last SupperMAMAThe CommitteeAbout Othello (Or Who is Afraid of William Shakespeare)F*#K DarwinThese productions have taken him around the world to various cities and festivals such as Singapore, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Zagreb, Hong Kong, Paris, Marseilles, Avignon Theater Festival (Official selection "The Last Supper" and MAMA" , Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Before the Revolution), Washington DC (Kennedy Center), Cairo, Alexandria, Amman, UAE, Gothenburg, Chur, and Bologna to name a few. He has also appeared alongside theater actors from the Montenegro National Theater in a collaboration between The two companies.Ramsi Lehner has been involved in the cinema and television industry since 2009 with his premiere on the silver screen with Usama Fawzy's "Bel Alwan Al Tabi'eya" (With Natural Colors). Since then he has worked with Jean-Jaques Annaud on his film "Day of the Falcon" and Nadine Khan's award winning "Harag w Marag" (Chaos Disorder). With over twenty television productions to his name in the Egyptian industry, he has since shifted focus towards directing for the screen, creative production and story development/show running.As an acting coach, he began teaching at Studio Emad El Deen until partnering with his brother Luke Lehner in creating their own acting studio. His coaching has taken him to Sudan where he gave the first three week intensive acting workshop in Khartoum organized by Afrka Film School. Show less «
