Oct. 2011, Ramona McGowan decided she wanted to pursue her career in acting and modeling. At age 19, she was living in a small town in western N.C. She had graduated high school early, completed 2 years of college, completed her C.N.A and had her own cleaning service. Ramona had to put her schooling on hold and move back home when issues arose with her family. She spent 6 months out of school and working at a local restaurant to help her family get back on their feet, when finally she decided she had to live the life she desired and deserved. That night she packed her bags and left for Atlanta the next day. Ramona was not certain what she was going to do or where she would go when she got there, seeing how she knew nobody in town. While searching for some odd jobs, she came across an ad for a music video. This was the spark of her career. She fell in love with the entertainment industry and had a yearning to learn more. The next couple months, Ramona spent many nights sleeping in her car and some in a hotel when she could afford it. Ramona had chosen her new career. Soon after learning more about the industry, she was booking jobs left and right. Ramona landed her first role as supporting lead in the feature film 'The Eugenist'. From then on, she was working on commercials, film, television and doing some print work. One morning Ramona woke up and decided "I need to swim with the sharks". Three hours later, she was on her way to Los Angeles, California. Again, she was not sure of anything except that she had a dream that was stronger than her reasonable logic. She had $700 and a conversion van, that was all she needed. Show less «
