An actor with bold experiences to paint interesting and layered characters. She was classically trained in Theater arts. As a child her sister would write plays and the rest of her family would perform them. She continued Drama in high school. In college her professors at New Mexico State University included Mark Medoff (Tony Award Winner). She attended British American Drama Academy, Master's Class at Stanford University, California. The professors included David Ogden Stiers - Comedy, Fiona Shaw - Shakespeare, Jose Quintero - Directing, Bruce During - Acting, and Ed Asner - Acting. Private Coaches have been Lisa Dalton - Chekhov, Allan Miller - Scene Study. She was born in Okinawa. She grew up in Thailand, Vietnam, Virginia, West Virginia, New Mexico, Washington, and Texas. In the Air Force, she was stationed in Arizona, Germany, and California. She visited Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, Monaco, and Turkey. She learned to ride horses by finding a field where a group of horses were grazing, ran up to a horse and jumped on. She rode till she was bucked or fell off. She learned to ride English, and Western style. When they didn't have enough tack to go around, she rode bareback with a piece of clothesline for reins. She has trained gaited horses and competed in the gaited competitions, getting second place overall in her first show season. Her favorite gaited horse she rode without a saddle or bridle. She has trained and competed in three-gaited one-horse carriage competition. This may explain her reoccurring role in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. You have a horse, she can ride it and act up a storm while doing it.
