Born December 5, 1965 to Ron and Lorene Gull. Attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated in 1983. During high school, Gull discovered an affinity for and a love of acting, and intended to pursue a career as an actor.Was accepted in 1983 to The California Institute of The Arts, based on an audition, during which he performed a scene from the film "Scarface", which prompted the dean of the Theatre Arts department of the school to comment "this is something I never again want to see on an American stage". After a half-hearted try at acting, Gull moved on to songwriting.From the mid 1980s till 1993, Michael wrote songs for and with several bands. One of the bands for which he wrote, an all brother band named Ambush featuring Jeff Skorik, attracted the attention of legendary music promoter Sid Bernstein, prompting a full-page ad in the New York Times and network television appearances, but the band dissolved before success came.Began doing stand up comedy in 2001 and has toured the United States, performing in clubs and casinos. Has shared stages with Will Durst, Bruce Bruce, Greg Giraldo and more. Bills himself on the stand up comedy circuit as "The Comedy Messiah". Is known on the comedy circuit for his acerbic social commentary.Michael returned to acting in early 2007, originally as a means to get better stand up comedy gigs, but quickly rediscovered his love of the craft. He now considers himself an actor first, comic second. In 2008, his acting career caused him to reduce the number of stand up shows he does. He plans to return to live performing in 2009.In mid 2008, he formed his own film production company, L'oiseau Blanc Films. Show less «
