Quincy Rose is an award winning, American filmmaker, and son of the late, venerated, comedy writer, Mickey Rose (Take the Money and Run, Bananas).In 2012, after honing his craft, writing and directing several short films, and helming Untreated, a slow burn, comedy web series, Quincy's debut feature film, Miles to Go, premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Feature. After doing the festival circuit, it was released in 2015. IndieWIRE called Miles to Go, "One of the 12 indie-films to watch on VOD in May 2015," and The Hollywood Reporter said, "If Woody Allen and Albert Brooks had a baby, this film would be it."Friends Effing Friends Effing Friends, Quincy's second feature film, had its world premiere at the 2016 Cinequest Film Festival, where it opened to rave reviews. The San Francisco Chronicle called it, "Sexually frank... a more serious romantic comedy," continuing, "The lessons Rose learned from the towering influences in his life, his father and godfather, are only in how he approaches humor. His style is his own in this tale..." Since then it has gone on to play at the 2016 Manhattan Film Festival where it was awarded Best Feature Romantic Drama by the festival's jury. After closing the inaugural year for the 2016 Film Invasion L.A. Film Festival, FEFEF was released on VOD in the US and Canada via Gravitas Ventures, and is awaiting its foreign release dates.Quincy is awaiting the release of his third feature, The Narcissists, which he shot in the fall of 2016 on the streets of New York City. Some additional credits include: Melinda and Melinda, written and directed by Woody Allen; Accepted, directed by Steve Pink; and The Quincy Rose Show, a pilot which he co-created/wrote and starred in, working alongside Nicholas Brendon, Jack McGee and Lee Garlington.Quincy loves cinema and is extremely dedicated to his craft. He works in all forms and genres, from stand-up comedy to feature length scripts; there is no style he won't explore. Quincy is most passionate about directing the films that he writes.
