Pierre is a whirlwind of talent: originally from New York, culturally diverse - with European, Italian and French from his mother's side and father's Spanish, Jewish and American Indian cultures giving him great range and depth from which he draws upon along with decades of training and securing award winning performances. Yes he can be a gentleman and a scoundrel, a priest and a wall street broker - a pirate or an Admiral.Pierre joined the acting cirque much later than most. His first movie experience was with Candice Bergen in Mayflower Madam, and most recently gaining more global exposure working on Drop Dead Diva as a Co-Star with Tony Goldwyn of 'Scandal' and lead Brooke Elliot - directed by Michael Grossman and again Guest starred on Necessary Roughness with Director James Hayman.Perea's next opportunity, pronounced 'PEAR_EE_AY ' came alongside Rebecca DeMornay, Randy Quaid and Michael O'keefe in The Slugger's Wife, where once again he gained great experience working with notable talent. His diversity was recognized in the start of his career when he was the only talent invited back to the set of 'In the Heat of the Night' by Fred Silverman and Carroll O'Connor as two different Characters.Pierre's chiseled features, handsomeness and charismatic charm attracted industry professionals and he was in top fashion magazines and live runway shows for GQ , Calvin Klein, International Male and worked with Elite, L'Agence, Casablanca and Ford Agencies. . He dove into acting and took Master Classes at Strasberg in Manhattan after a few years of 3 disciplines simultaneously, Theatrical at the Alliance Theatre / Woodruff Arts Center, Dorsey Studios - Stanislavski 'Method' and Commercial Acting with Don Slaton. These experiences intrigued Perea regarding the 'Art' of acting. Over the past 3 decades Pierre studied with many other teachers in different states and various techniques to continue to hone and exercise his talents. Pierre then worked on Quiet Victory, the Charlie Wedermeyer Story, as Young Charlie with Michael Nouri and Pam Dawber.Meanwhile, he toiled in the kitchens of Atlanta - from assistant to Executive Chef at the only full service, white glove restaurant open past 10 pm. A most progressive kitchen in the states, cooking in an open kitchen - right in front of the entire restaurant - inventing new and fun ways to display culinary excellence, add showmanship and strike up lively conversations with the guests. The 'A' list of Celebrities he served in the mid 1980's is timeless. Yes, he was the beginning of the Celebrity Chef Shows that are so common now. Simply put, way ahead of his time!Meanwhile he did many community theatre productions including the Jewish Theatre, the Alliance Theatre and did the early and award winning shows at the Actors Express, studied with the Shakespeare Company and even wound up on the big stage at the FOX Theatre in an opera called 'Tosca' working along with Jay Lesinger and Maestro William Fred Scott.Pierre saved his money, turned down a Food & Beverage position at the brand new Buckhead Ritz Carlton Hotel and in the early 1990's moved back to NY and rented a corner, 13th floor apartment in Chelsea just blocks away from the Strasberg Film and Theatre School at Union Square in Manhattan. During his tenure at Strasberg, he has worked with amazing and legendary teachers, and performed in many Off-Broadway productions including Speed the Plow and Curse of the Upper Class. As a part of the Strasberg family and culture, Perea is graced to be a part of the who's who list of alumni including: Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, Alec Baldwin, Uma Thurman, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson and Callie Khourie creator of Nashville. Perea was often chosen for Scene Nights with Anna Strasberg based on in-class work, strong attendance and in depth participation levels. Raised with 3 siblings mostly by a single mother, times were not easy.Born on April 3rd, 1962 at 1:01 am, to Yvonne Maria Teyssier, who left Pierre's biological father 6 months before he was born. After the long haul from the west coast back to her home town of Elmira, New York. Pierre's early years were spent with his mother and 18 month older brother Michael Valentine Perea in the rural Upper Appalachian Mountain Regions, She met Angelo Sabatini when he was 3 and until 11 years old - enjoyed: fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, blizzards and fossil hunting on and around the South Mountain as a part of his typical days. However, when his mother married into the close-knit, Italian culture, "FAMILY" - to Angelo Sabatini - they moved to NYC, where Pierre, after moving to was now known as Petey Sabatini, "Petey was tall, skinny and awkward as a child and could only endure the rough play from his brother and much bigger cousins by going stealth and inventing ways to give em' childhood payback. Pierre also had to learn the ways of Ozone Park in Queens NY and Howard Beach - enjoying colourful - but loyal Family and childhood friends like - Robby 'the Rogue', Richy 'Rooster', Louie 'D', Johnny 'One Eye', Tony '2 Toes', Sal 'the Pretender' and James 'Cassidy' to name only few. During these years Pierre saw more than most kids should ever see and experience in a lifetime.Meanwhile, Pierre and his hooky playing past time favorite was to climb the Twin Towers in Manhattan as they were being built, follow his older brother and keep watch as 'Mikey' did graffiti on the trains. When close to being caught, they toyed with the detectives that simply couldn't run as fast.Pierre's Mother divorced in 1976, left the Queens Family in his teen age years and he was immersed once again in another diverse culture- 'the Great South' - having moved to Atlanta Georgia, USA. His mother was single and taking care of 4 children now - they had to work as a team. Even so, Pierre was always in advanced, special education classes and even though he took a whole year off from high school, when he returned, Pierre still graduated on time.Being the bookworm that he was, Math never lied, Shakespeare enticed rhythm and prose, Whitman exposed the bombastic and Baudelaire opened his world for language and further intrinsic interpretation. His love of language ensued as he continued to find his own voice. But life hasn't always been a dream. Since he was in 3 rd grade, Pierre dreamed of being a fighter pilot, an aerospace explorer, scientist and humanitarian. So. right out of high school he joined the United States Air Force as an Officer and Aerospace Candidate. His dreams were to transpire. He was an Assistant Kitchen Manager at TGI Fridays at the Prado in Atlanta, went to school from 6 am to 2 pm at Devry University for computer sciences to meet the prerequisites of an Officer and Aerospace Candidate.Six months later and in the top of his National Class, tragedy struck. Pierre survived an horrific car accident when he was only 19 years old. The jaws of death were needed to pull him out. He closed his eyes and said wake me when I'm out. An amputee candidate now, a few operations later, Perea's shattered dreams of being an Air Force Pilot and his forever hopes for Aerospace Missions were destroyed.Through the trials of his life - Pierre has chosen to live - pushing through the pain and the lost dreams, reinventing himself, falling in love with the creative world of acting, writing and directing where he found solace and further healing with intense Martial Arts training. This driving force has fueled Pierre to never give up, always do his authentic best and embrace being a Servant leader.
