Pha'rez Lass was born in Chapel Hill, NC but grew up in South Boston, VA. He spent all of his years of elementary, middle, and high school in this location. It was here that he began his great journey of his love for the arts. His parents are Louis M. Lassiter and Emmie Perkins. Pha'rez Lass and his father survived Emmie Perkins as she passed away in November 28, 1987. However, he always had his grandmother Winnie K. Lassiter to step in the place of his mother. She passed away in 2014 while Pha'rez Lass was in Afghanistan. Pha'rez Lass began understanding his love for the arts at an early age when playing principal roles in schools plays, playing musical instruments and singing in church. In the 7th grade he joined the drama club, however he was an alternate actor in the play. Discouraged by this event, he decided to focus more on sports but he continued to stick with music. During high school, Lass was the 1st chair Tuba player for 3 years and he played basketball, football, and ran track. Later he went on to attend college at Mississippi Valley State University on an academic and band scholarship. Pha'rez was a part of the Mock Trial Team for the university serving as the Captain and lead attorney of the team for 3 years. The whole time while being in this program it was not recognized that he was acting in order to win cases and convince the judges of his truth in each case. The plan after college was to go on to law school, however, after graduation that route seemed lifeless and it did not really fit him. So, for the first time in his life he made a decision for himself and he decided to start doing stand-up comedy. Entertainment had always been a part of his character and he was finally embarrassing his true self. The feeling of making the audience laugh and the energy he felt while on stage allowed him to see that this was truly his calling. It was there that the journey started and now Pha'rez Lass is a professional model and actor being a part of numerous shots and movies/theater/series. He started taking the craft of acting seriously on May 21, 2015 and he has yet to look back. Since then he has done at least 23 fashions shows, several print ads, and also been a part of several films. He strives to be the best actor ever and he continues to challenge himself to embody himself in his work. Pha'rez Lass is a great down to earth person with star quality and the work ethic to represent his success so far in this industry. He is thankful of everyone that has helped him along the way. Hold on for a moment because he has just begun this journey to the top!
