Petras sheer appearance - fiery red and curly long hair, a hot temper, and devoted acting all add up to the fact that Petra Berndt is regarded by many as being an exceptional persona. After having completed drama school in 1991 she appeared on stage at the municipal theater in the town of Ingolstadt followed by more theater work in Munich's prestigious Volkstheater. She turned out to be the perfect cast for feature film productions such as Das schreckliche Mädchen or Mutter Courage (both directed by Michael Verhoeven), Herr Ober! (dir.: Gerhard Polt), Rossini (dir: Helmut Dietl), and Marlene (dir: Joseph Vilsmaier). She played in the international production Salz auf der Haut which was directed by Andrew Birkin. Numerous roles in TV movies and TV series across all genres are part of Petra Berndt's extensive CV. Screen adaptations of present time novels as well as historic dramas are part of Petra Berndt's impressive body of work.
