Peter LaVecchia was born on October 31, 1969 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Daniel Francis LaVecchia, a Realtor, and Patricia Ann Bori, a former X-ray technician and FedEx employee. Peter is the youngest of 4 with sisters Shelly, who owns a construction/landscaping company in New Jersey, and Kim, who lives in San Diego. Brother Danny is a broker and CEO on Wall Street. His father is of Italian descent and mother is of Polish ancestry. The family lived in Fanwood, New Jersey, a beautiful suburb about 25 minutes outside of New York City.Pete began modeling at age 15 doing various print jobs and fashion shows in the NY/NJ area. He began taking acting classes on the weekends in NYC but after a few years in the business, he took the advice of getting an education before diving head first into the acting world in order to have something to fall back on. In 1987 he enrolled at Boston University where 4 years later he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Finance concentration. Having completed college he decided to give the finance world a go where he began working with his brother at Tullet & Tokyo Foreign Exchange brokerage house and then moving on to Cantor Fitzgerald. Peter started developing his career as a currency option broker but after 3 years decided that it wasn't the road he wanted to take and moved to San Diego, CA.With the acting bug still in his system, Peter began taking classes in San Diego while falling in love with his new city. Slowly developing his craft he tended bar for several years while also working in sales for a sportswear company. Eventually, he opened his own restaurant, Crush, with a business partner which was open for 5 years. During this time Peter started seeing small successes in booking commercials and industrial videos in the San Diego region. After the sale of the restaurant, and with the number of auditions calling in LA growing, he eventually dove head first into the acting world and moved to Los Angeles.In 2012, Peter made the move and shortly thereafter signed on commercially with the Daniel Hoff Agency where he immediately began to see success in booking commercials with Disney, Fruit of the Loom, Honda, and several other large corporations in the commercial world. Moving into the world of film, he's booked roles in shorts and student films such as Dinner, Table for Two, Dangerous Love and in 2016 had his first role in the Pilot episode of Pitch playing Joe Amazzo, the team scout. He continued to craft his trade studying with Brian Reise, Lesly Kahn, Killian McHugh and is presently enrolled at the Margie Haber Studio. Show less «
