He was born in Cornwall UK and had a distinctly Aviation career - RAAF trained and Civilian Pilot, RAAF and Civilian Air Traffic Controller, Aircraft Accident Investigator, Aircraft Electrical Engineer, Search & Rescue Mission Coordinator, Airports Safety and Compliance General Manager, lecturer in ATC, Flying, Aerodynamics, Risk Management, Safety and Human Factors, Founder and Managing Director of three companies and two businesses. He is an Adventurer -who Treks Nepal every year, runs, rides, swims, surfs, ex-gymnast. He loves reality TV, especially Survivor and Ninja Warrior. and has also participated on Millionaire Hot Seat and Studio 10. His aspirations are to compete in Australian Ninja Warrior and to return for another Survivor series. He is known for Energy, Courage, Integrity, forthrightness and irreverent humour. He is also known for retiring from Australian Survivor series 1 at Samoa 2016 when starving for 20 days due to suffering untreated gastroenteritis and was loved by the SAANAPU tribe who were visibly distressed at his departure from Survivor.
