Pedro Antonio Tavarez Jr. was born on August 29, 1996 in The Bronx, New York. He is an actor, dancer, and performer known for the Florida Broadway production, "In The Groove". Diagnosed with a rare eye condition (a mixture of Nystagmus and Ocular Albinism) Pedro was determined to overcome these physical challenges in all he did. Since he lead his elementary school chorus at the age of 5, and a small dance crew he and his brothers co-founded in 2011, Pedro continued pursuing opportunities to be on stage and television. In 2014, Pedro was offered a scholarship to attend The Pennsylvania State University to study Administration of Justice. Additionally, he followed his passion to perform and bring attention to the school's athletic and performing departments as "Mr. Penn State Fayette". Pedro was a wrestler, and cross-country runner and by the time he earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree, Pedro was the lead in 6 plays for the Lionplayers Acting Club, and the assistant director in his last two years. After graduating in 2018, Pedro moved to Clearwater, Florida to start his acting career. He landed lead roles in a few statewide commercials, was a featured extra in two feature films, and starred as the lead dancer in "In The Groove". Pedro hopes to reach the younger generation by inspiring, and motivating them to follow their dreams. Pedro knows there are still so many obstacles he needs to face but with the help of God he can overcome anything. Pedro wants to be the person that when someone says "because of you I don't give up" and if he can change one person's life then he's achieving his goals and living his dream as an actor.
