Back in 1979, he left England to play in a Rock Band, which led him to meeting an actress who helped him get his first roll in Aligator River. Mel Ferrer (who was once married to Audrey Hepburn) offered to take him to Milan where he could learn the craft of acting. Paul turned down the offer and concentrated on making music.
