Paul King is an American actor and model born Paul Henry Scheuer on May 13, 1967 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. The only child of Francis Scheuer and Marilyn Scheuer (née Fisher), his parents divorced when he was six and he was raised in Los Angeles. When he was eight, his mother married Tom King, which eventually led to him taking his stepfather's surname as his professional name. Beginning his professional career as a child actor in commercials at the age of eleven, King eventually transitioned to feature film roles, appearing as Steven Bagradian in the historical drama Forty Days of Musa Dagh (1982) and as the spoiled prom-goer in the adventure comedy Blue de Ville (1986), as well as a recurring role as teenage heartthrob Eric on the CBS comedy series Archie Bunker's Place (1979). In addition to his film and television credits, King is perhaps best remembered for his "teen idol" status during the early-mid 1980s, featured prominently in numerous articles and pinups in such magazines as 16 Magazine, Teen Beat and Tiger Beat.
