Paul Apel (Papel) was born in 1974 in Jos-Plateau state, to Martha Apel, a Teacher, and Joseph Apel (Japel), a Thespian. His parents were both born in Nigeria and are from Benue State. Papel spent his younger years in Benue and later proceeded to Lagos where he started his early days in television before he settled into cinematography in Abuja, He went to Colorado Film School in Denver, USA. He gained renown for his well-written and well-made Movies. Among his early directing efforts were The Bond(2007), 90NinthDay(), and BlueFlames(2013), which combined good storytelling with good audio and video quality for all mediums of television. He also directed Pappu(2016), Conscripted, Fantastic Numbers, Halita, Whynot(2019). His latest work, EagleWings(2021) which he wrote, acted, edited, and directed is also one of the biggest collaborations of Nollywood with the Nigerian Air Force. Papel gained accolades as a cinematographer, editor, actor, producer, and director. Papel is a father of 2 kids (Iorver and Tavershima Apel) with a lovely wife(Stephanie Apel) and is happily active in his family. Show less «
