Pat's career goal was to become a "Weatherman" ever since he was in the fourth grade at the age of 9. He received a bachelor's degree of Science in Physics from Murray State University in 1975 with formal meteorological education earned from the graduate school of meteorology of St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. He also acquired a 15 month education in broadcast speech and techniques from a private broadcast school while attending graduate school in St. Louis.His first broadcast job began at KOAM in Pittsburgh, Kansas / Joplin Missouri in 1977, coming to Savannah after a brief stay in Wichita, Kansas at KARD.Pat has extensive education in astronomy and is well versed in computer HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and PERL (Practical Extraction Report Language) programing.
