Patrick Boylan is a Los Angeles-based actor with credits in theater, film, TV and commercial, a multi-instrumentalist, vocal performer, and model. Career highlights include a co-star credit on FX's Quarter Life Poetry, a supporting role in indie feature Guitars and Guns, a series regular on Sunny Family Cult, off-Broadway as an actor and musician in Drowning Ophelia, and Charlie in the the digital adaptation of Flowers for Algernon. Patrick was also featured in 23andMe's 2018 major digital/new media commercial campaign. Other notable national and regional commercial credits include work for major brands including Trident, Meijer's, Android, eHarmony, and Lenovo.Originally hailing from Chicago, Patrick was bitten by the theater bug at an early age following an impressive fall from the tallest tree in his town, forcing him to give up swimming as he healed. Upon feeling the rush of connecting directly with an audience, Patrick has been chasing that connection ever since. Connection with others is a strength Patrick brings to any performance, and his ability to cultivate chemistry with scene partners has resulted in him coincidentally being cast to play opposite many of his former cast mates over the years.Despite his lifelong love of the arts, he majored in sociology at Illinois State University -- however, this did not stop him from continuing to perform. Rather, Patrick found that his unique background made him a student of human character and the ties that bind us together, providing him a rich understanding of human connection that he still brings to each performance. The ease at which he fosters that connection with others around him has honed his expert ability to navigate all facets of rehearsals with dynamic and creative artists. A curious spirit, Patrick has had the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of production, enhancing his understanding of the entire process and recognizing the important role each piece of the puzzle plays. He is known for energizing collaboration among artistic teams, with a passion for championing projects that break new artistic ground.
