A native of Jamaica, Owen Miller, came to the USA at the age of 15 along with his mother and three brothers. His mother, Linda Miller, wanting very much to make it possible for her sons to have access to opportunities she was in fact denied, determined to make a new life despite numerous obstacles and setbacks.Owen continued his education through high school and college. Developing a love for the written and spoken word, lead to a desire to become a writer. In time however this love was joined by yet another. Seeking to cope with the pain of a tragic situation, Owen turned to acting as therapy. He thought this would be a favorable means to express and deal with the range of negative emotions that were now a constant companion. Not only did it work but he found himself hooked. His talent, passion, and love for the craft are unquestionable. With the full support of a beautiful wife, three lovely children and all who have in fact seen him in action, he's well on his way; having worked on a multitude of films alongside actors the likes of Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Andy Garcia, David Caruso, Sharon Gless, Gary Dourdan, Antoni Corone, Marc Macaulay, Mario Van Peebles, Brian Dennehy, Glenn Plummer, and numerous others. His love for writing lead to the recent collaboration with friend and writer Eddie Lingo Jr. in the completion of four provocative and well received screenplays: "Vessel", "Death by 12", "Check Mate" and "Victim", with more to follow.
