Stage actress from the age of 16, Taylor worked with Charles Frohman and William Faversham for a number of years. She was prominent in music circles throughout Los Angeles. She was one of the organizers of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and was also chair of the women's committee of the Los Angeles Grand Opera Association. Married to actor R.D.
