Nikkie Plessen was born on May 8th 1985 in the center of The Netherlands. Utrecht. She attended the Revius College in Doorn and graduated in 2002. With her HAVO diploma she started a law study in 2004. In the mean time she had been working on her passion every hour of her spare time. Acting and dancing. She attended the Youth Theatre school Roel Tijhof from 1993 to 2000 and played in several small musicals and plays throughout The Netherlands. From 1990 she has been on several different dance schools. Tap-dance, jazz ballet and video dancing. In 2000 she landed her first movie role. At the age of 15 she played in De grot (2001) In 2003 she landed her breakthrough in the popular Dutch soap opera Onderweg naar morgen (1994) She played the role of Lizzy Vehmeijer for 3 years. In both 2004 and 2005 she was elected as the most popular actor on that soap. In that same period of time she started a second series. In the Dutch comedy series Kees & Co (1997) she played Mariel. In 2004 her interest started to show a different side. She started presenting next to her acting work. She voluntarily hosted the show Emma Kinder TV from the AMC hospital in Amsterdam. In 2006 she starred in the latest show on her list for one year. HotNews.nl (2005) A comedy show for children. When she finished acting on Onderweg Naar Morgen, Kees & Co and HotNews.nl she fully focused on presenting. She is now one of the hosts on the Dutch music channel TMF (The Music Factory) and hosts the daily show ReAction on Monday and Tuesday.
