Niklas John Salt was born in July 11th, 1995 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, the youngest of three children. His father, Steven Arnold Salt, an English immigrant and his mother, Phyllis Salt, a Scottish immigrant, met in Canada and wed not long after.After 5 years in the corporate recruitment industry, Nik decided to pursue his dream of acting. His push being a quote from Jim Carrey; "You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love." Nik began acting classes with EVN Film Studios and LB Acting Studios to build a foundation under the skills he already had, starting at a beginner level and working up to the advanced classes.Shortly after he began appearing in various student films and short independent films. Commercials and re-enactment programs followed until September of 2022 where his hard work paid off and he was able to join ACTRA Toronto.
