Nicole was born in Germany as a military brat. She grew up in Fayetteville, NC, home to the elite Special Forces. She comes from a long line of military family members in the U.S. and abroad. Her attention to detail while overhearing conversations is impeccable. She attended the Fayetteville Academy and did her undergraduate work at Longwood University in Virgina, graduating with a B.F.A. in studio art. She then left to attend New York University, Steinhardt and received her M.A. in Art Education graduating first in her class of the department. While in NYC, she worked for the MoMA, the Met, the Dahesh Museum and El Museo Barrio, creating educational curriculum programs and for a couture fashion designer, W. Chan, known as Twinkle. Her jewelry designs were featured in Vogue and In Style magazines, among many others while they launched the line during fashion week in Bryant Park. She also helped start the non-profit, Art Beyond Sight, that helps blind people use topographic maps to feel their way across a map to feel a painting and taught them art. After NYC, she went to the University of GA, working on her PhD research when she took a group of students to Cienfuegos and Havana, Cuba to teach multicultural art classes before it was allowed under the administration. Only journalists and educators could leave out of Miami. Since then she has created several strong art programs at different colleges and universities and took a group of 24 students to Paris, Florence, Giverny to study museum studies out of Brunswick Community College, which was the 1st community college in the country to have Kappa Pi Art Fraternity initiated on its campus. She has lived all over the world, taught at the college/university level for over 20 years, started non-profits and had her first patent and trademark on artwork at the age of 20. Nicole has never met a stranger. She is gregarious without being aggressive, compassionate without being overbearing, and smart but not intimidating. As a young child she always wanted to do missionary work, and she realizes she doesn't have to move abroad to help others next door. They are sitting right next to you. Show less «
