Nicola Paige was born on Feburary 2, 1988 in Crawley, Sussex, to parents Vanessa and Thomas. She first became amazed by the world of cinema when she went for the first time with her father to see Disney's Pocahontas. After many years watching the big screen she caught the acting bug at age 11.Being described as the shy quiet one of her class mates, Paige impressed school teachers and audiences with her performances in school plays and after school acting classes. However, It was her younger sister who was seen as the confident one who was sent off to stage school and singing lessons.Paige left school at age 16 and went to work in Canary Wharf with her mother for three years. When she turned 18 she decided to change her last name to Paige (her mothers maiden name). Her first experience in front of a camera came as background work on the set of 'Traffic Warden' a short film directed by Benjamin Johns in August 2006. She was sitting with the rest of the background artists when she was picked out of the crowd to play a police woman in the ending scene of the movie. She met with casting director Steve Daly after friends had sent her for an audition for a feature film and wowed the director and casting director with her acting skills. She was given her first role in Mark Jay's feature 'Dolphins' where she played a young glamor model wannabe pre-teen called Shelley. Her next role followed shortly after in the feature 'Rise of the footsoldier' where she played a barmaid hungry for hero Carlton Leech.
