Stielstra moved to NYC after college, where he acted in two films on "Saturday Night Live" during the 1993 TV season, "Your Last Day" and "Just Married", both directed by Jennifer Meyer.In Los Angeles, he endured background work in "Boogie Nights" and "Saved By The Bell" until landing a line in the Tom Cruise film, "Jerry Maguire". In between movies, he played guitar for children's storytimes in libraries. He also directed grotesque crime comedies ("Less Human Than Human") and performed in the madness that was the punk band The Distortionists for 2 years.In 2010, Stielstra starred in Michael Fredianelli's "The Scarlet Worm", also composing the film's soundtrack. The movie co-starred spaghetti western veterans Dan van Husen and Montgomery Ford. It won critical acclaim in Europe and America. Fangoria magazine called it, "Absolutely great--moody, rough, and controversial".In 2012, Stielstra moved to Italy. Here, he narrated the Mike Malloy documentary, "Eurocrime! The Cop & Gangster Films that Ruled the 70s". This documentary about crime films of the Italian 1970s features such luminaries as Franco Nero and Tomas Milian. It received a rave write-up in Variety magazine and premiered at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, February 24th, 2014.In 2013, Stielstra appeared in the western, "Six Bullets to Hell", in Almeria, Spain, also composing the soundtrack. This led to the PBS film "The Mona Lisa Myth" playing Niccolo' Macchiavelli. In 2014, he starred in the apocalyptic zombie films "Anger of the Dead", "Zombie Massacre 2", and the supernatural thriller "The Blind King".The punk rock comedy "Excretion:The Shocking True Story of The Football Moms", written, directed, and starring Stielstra, will hit screens in 2016. Also Stielstra's second spaghetti western, "The Price of Death".Stielstra has provided soundtracks for over 20 films through his company Depth Charge Productions. He now performs in the punk rock band The Football Moms.
