Nick Maiorano is a Toronto based Director, Editor, Photographer, Dancer and Actor. He started off at the age of 6 as a competitive dancer, competing all over North America. His professional career began in 2012 when he landed his first role on Family Channel's The Next Step. By Season 3, Nick began auditing in the writers room for both The Next Step and Lost and Found. This role led Nick to the editor's room, where he became a full time 2nd Assistant Editor.This is when Nick's career took a turn for the best. He became an Assistant Editor for The Next Step Seasons 3,4, and 5, Netflix's Lost and Found Music Studios, The Next Step Movie and BBC's Taking The Next Step. In 2015, Nick became the Assistant Manager to the uprising boy band, The Revel Boys. He covers the majority of their photography, media content, and directs/co-directs their music videos. Throughout Nick's versatile career, he has completed side projects such as: Walk Off The Earths "Hello" YouTube video, Disney Channel's Alyssa Trask's cover music video, "Better When I'm Dancin'", Data Management Technician (DMT) for a TIFF short film Thelma, picked up a role in The Darcy's "Close to Me" music video, and completed photography for various actors, musicians and dancers. Nick has recently had the opportunity to closely shadow the directors and show runners of The Next Step Season 5 while also shadowing the editors of Orphan Black. This has broadened his abilities to a new level.Nick's career had led him to working with professionals such as Mia Michaels, Teddy Forance, Myles Erlick, Briar Nolet, Isaac Lupien, Devon Brown and Jake Donaldson. He has also created and edited side reels for Briar Nolet, JJ Moore, Myles Erlick, Isaac Lupien and more.Nick's proudest moment in his career is when he represented the LGBT community in The Next Step Season 4.
