Niall Wright was born in Belfast, Ireland and studied a Commerce degree at University College Dublin. He then trained at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school and will graduate in July 2017. Niall's recent TV and Film credits include appearing as the lead role of Danny Burns in all three seasons of 6 Degrees (Stirling Films for BBCNI and BBC Networks), appearing as the a series regular (Gabe) in three seasons of Dani's Castle (CBBC). Other Film and TV credit include: Mickey Bradley in the hit feature Good Vibrations (starring Richard Dormer), the IFTA winning feature film Mickybo and Me (dir by Terry Loane) and the lead role in the short James (2008) (winner of 22 international awards & selected for the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival), Brian Kirk's IFTA winning Middletown (2006), short film Solider (2005) and L.O.L(2009), a BBC NI sketch show. Theatre credits include: Prime Cut Theatre's production of Macbeth (Lyric Theatre) playing the role of Fleance and Niall appeared, in his Abbey Theatre debut, in Marina Carr's By The Bog of Cats directed by Selina Cartmell on the Abbey main stage opposite Susan Lynch. Most recently he has appeared in Timberlake Wertenbaker's 'Our Country's Good', directed by Gemma Fairlie at the Redgrave Theatre in Bristol and in 'Our Town' by Thornton Wilder, directed by Paul Clarkson. In 2017, Niall will appear in Jez Butterworth's new play, 'The Ferryman' at The Royal Court Theatre in London, being directed by Sam Mendes transferring to the West End in the summer. Show less «
