Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; Nelson is the middle of three brothers. His parents Frank and Linda were both civil servants. His mother Linda, for a time, worked as secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. His father Frank was a federal government employee and was also a prominent election campaign manager. Nelson graduated from St.Pius X high school. Apart from his theatrical studies Nelson was also an avid rugby player with tours in both the United States and the U.K. Nelson was part of a team that twice in three years won the coveted "Blue Ball" Tournament held annually at Fort Drum, New York. Nelson retired from rugby in 2005, and from there was able to dedicate more time to the study of acting. He signed with his first agency in Toronto in 2003 and started to work right away booking several commercials. Nelson found more work locally with small theatrical productions and extra work for movies and television productions in and around town. In 2006 Nelson appeared as one of eight suitors on the nationally broad-casted reality show "The Letters: Rediscovering The Art of Courtship". His next major role was in 2010's Iron Soldier. It was shortly after that Nelson decided to move out west to Vancouver where he was accepted to and received a scholarship to the Vancouver Film School Acting department. Nelson continues to live and work out of Vancouver, Canada. He is not married. He has no children. Show less «
